What is Reiki? RAY-kee - a Japanese word that is most often translated to Universal life force energy.  It is a gentle holistic treatment that affects the whole person - mind, body + spirit - balancing and harmonizing the whole energy field. Basically, a tune up for the energy body.

You see, past traumas - from our childhood, from accidents and illnesses, from words we didn't speak and emotions we didn't express - can all get stuck in our energy body, causing dis-ease and dis-harmony in our physical, mental, spiritual and emotional bodies. Reiki looks for these energetic blockages, breaking up and releasing them, putting your energy body in a better state of health, which supports + accelerates your physical body’s own natural ability to balance and heal itself.

Reiki itself heals but the practitioner is not doing the healing. Reiki practitioners are simply conduits who channel Universal life force energy.

Reiki is not a reading. Reiki is energy healing. While some practitioners also have psychic ability, a reading is not a normal part of a Reiki session.

What to expect...Reiki works with balancing your seven major Chakras- the energy centers in our bodies where traumas get stuck - and can assist the mind and body to return to a natural balance, leading to a restorative and healing state. After a session, most people report feeling deeply relaxed, almost as if you had a massage. The treatments are very gentle and non intrusive (you remain fully clothed), requiring only your intention and openness to receiving the energy.

Distance Reiki is one of the most beautiful reminders that energy isn’t limited by time or space. Just as the sun warms us from millions of miles away, Reiki can be received wherever you are - whether you’re across town or across the world.

Where can I Experience Reiki?

• Reiki curious? I host a monthly Reiki Share Circle at The Venus Moon in Glendora. Open to all - you don't have to be attuned to Reiki. We give a brief explanation for those that are new, answer questions, then enjoy a guided meditation, followed by a Reiki Share, where everyone will give and receive 10 minutes of Reiki. $5 in advance or at the door
